Funeral Arranging Team

Blake Moreland
Funeral Arranger

Growing up on a family sheep and crop farm, Blake developed a strong work ethic and appreciation for rural life from an early age. After working in the mechanical industry through his late teens and early twenties, he moved to Central Queensland, where he spent several years contract mustering, operating machinery, and eventually managing a cattle station. Outside of work, Blake enjoys cooking, fishing, travelling and relaxing with a well-earned weekend beer. He values the sense of connection and support found in country areas and takes great pride in being part of the local community.

Ebony Egyed
Funeral Arranger

Born in Sydney but proudly calling Innisfail home for over 40 years, Ebony brings a deep connection to the local community and a wealth of experience to Black’s Funerals. Her background spans paramedicine, firefighting, teaching, youth services, crisis housing and domestic violence support — a lifetime spent supporting others through their most vulnerable moments. Having experienced significant personal loss herself, Ebony understands the complexity of grief and brings quiet strength and genuine empathy. She is committed to helping families honour their loved ones in ways that reflect their identity, cultural beliefs and stories. In her downtime, Ebony enjoys the simple pleasures of family life with her partner, son and the many animals she loves rescuing.

Jasmin Pickard
Funeral Arranger

As a local to Innisfail, Jasmin is deeply connected to the community she serves. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring local swimming spots and being out in nature, finding peace and balance in the same places many locals treasure. Her approachable demeanour and strong ties to the town make her a comforting and familiar presence for families during difficult times. With a background in NDIS support coordination and specialized care for individuals with spinal injuries, she has always been driven by compassion and a desire to help others. As a mother of two, Jasmin is especially family-focused, taking great care to ensure each farewell is meaningful, respectful and tailored to the unique life being honoured.

Ky Reynolds
Funeral Arranger

Born in the Victorian town of Moe, Ky grew up in a close-knit family of eight, surrounded by the charm of small town life and a love for the outdoors. With over a decade of experience in the community services sector, he has worked across child safety, family services, and residential youth care — roles that shaped a deep sense of empathy and care for others. In 2023, Ky and his wife made the move to Far North Queensland to pursue their dream of homesteading with their three children. Joining the team at Blacks Funerals has allowed Ky to continue his passion for helping others, combining strong interpersonal skills and natural compassion to support families through some of life’s most meaningful moments.
